Le Murate

Il Caffè Letterario Le Murate opened in 2011.

Le Murate was the city jail, today it is a cultural centre.

Le Murate organises many activities:

_ meetings with authors:
_ readings and stage readings;
_  talks and debates;
_ live music;
_ video projections;
_ art exhibitions;
_ activities for children.

Le Murate cooperates with editors, associations, schools, universities and laic and religious communities.

In the near future, it aims to:

_ create a community of people liking Le Murate and its activities. A blog and a newsletter would encourage commitment towards the initiatives of the literary cafè.
_ be a link between cultural and political institutions and people;
_ create a network with editors, other Italian and foreign literary cafes, international initiatives



Il Caffè Letterario le Murate is the result of a collaboration between:

_ Zona Transito Libero: a cultural association with establisshe experience in catering and organization of cultural events and parties;
_ Mondo Estremo: a cultural association with established experience in theatre shows;
_ La Nottola di Minerva: a cultural association with a ten year long experience in managing a literary cafè in Torino
_ Controradio: a radio station with 40.000 followers and established experience in the organization of cultural events.

NOTE:

Controrario is a radio and a partner that allows the broadcast of cultural events: doubtless a win-win situation.
